Qaidi Band is an upcoming Pakistani film that is scheduled to release on August 31, 2016. The movie features Danish Taimoor and Ayesha Khan in lead roles. The story of the movie revolves around the lives of prisoners who are released from jail after serving their prison terms and start living a normal life in society . The movie also features Adnan Jaffar, Mohsin Abbas Haider, Zahid Ahmed and Asad Rehman as supporting cast, with actors like Dania Khalil, Imran Aslam Dauda Shahzad and Farida Jalal doing cameos in the film. The movie is directed by Fahim Burney and produced by Nadeem Siddiqui. The movie is edited by Mohsin Abbas Haider and written by Faisal Murad. Shiraz Ahmed also has composed the film's background score with lyrics by Sarmad Masud. The film's principal photography started in March 2016. The premiere of the film was held in Lahore on April 23, 2016 and its filming started in March 2016. The film released on August 31, 2016 for Eid-ul-Fitr under the name Qaidi Band. Ayesha Khan as a character has received critical acclaim. In his review for "The Express Tribune", Jibran Nasir described Ayesha Khan as a "elegant" and "charismatic" heroine. Nasir concluded that Ayesha Khan's role in the movie was a good one and just as Danish Taimoor has made a mark in the industry with his first three films, he will continue to do so because of Taimoor's charisma and his likable presence. The soundtrack album of the movie is composed by Shiraz Uppal and is produced by Momina Duraid. The music of this album was launched at a private event on 1 August 2016. The album consists of six tracks sung by various artists including Momina Mustehsan, Zahid Akhtar, Shiraz Uppal, Javed Bashir and Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch. The song "Dilbar" sung by Momina Mustehsan was released as a single track on April 29, 2016. The film's first poster was revealed on March 27, 2016 through social media. The first teaser trailer of the film was released on July 5, 2016. The second teaser trailer of the film was dropped on August 3, 2016.
